Licensed Architect with a specialization in urban history, focusing on the intersection of the built environment and historical urban development. Has experience in urban planning and research, using historical data to help inform current decisions and guide future development, ensuring cities are more thoughtful and well-planned.
Achievement Highlights:
– Finalist for the BCDA International BALE Mixed Income Housing Design Competition (July 2015).
– First runner-up for the “Hong Kong in the 60s and 70s: 3D Printed Museum Competition” (May 2024).
– Contributed as a research assistant for Prof. Ian Morley’s two most recent publications with Routledge on urban planning history in the Philippines.
– Presented a paper titled “Materiality and Metropolis: Shaping of Tondo’s Urban Built Fabric during Early American Colonization” in July 2024 at the 20th IPHS Biennial Conference in Hong Kong, which received a special mention for its merits on historical planning impacts in an article in the Planning Perspectives.
– Published an article titled “The Politics of Remembrance: The Case of the Filipina Comfort Women Statue and the Kamikaze Pilot Memorial” in the IIAS Newsletter No. 99, Autumn 2024.
